About Scholars Foundation AJ&K
Scholars Foundation AJK was established in 2002 and registered on July 11, 2012 under the Pakistan Social Act, 1860/21 [as applicable to the state of Azad Jammu, registration Number 2388] with the objective to serve the nation in education & building a peaceful nation. Prior to its proper registration, the team has worked in the field of education and rehabilitation during earthquake 2005 with the name Social & Educational Welfare Association [SEWA]. Scholars College of Sciences & Information Technology Muzaffarabad is also a project of Scholars Foundation AJK.
Mission Statement
Scholars Foundation’s fundamentally belief to empower the under privileged society by serving community, meet humanitarian needs, encourage peace through education and promote international understanding on human rights and also go beyond research to find practical base to protect the planet and improve living lives. To build the capacity by provision of technical educational courses and modern farming technique and skills.
Our mission is to move society to live in ways that protect earth’s environment and enhance it’s capacity to provide the need and also inspiration of current and future generation regardless of faith, race, ethnicity, color, language or nationality.
Objectives of the Scholars Foundation
The objectives of the Foundation are as set out below:
- To perform works of charity.
- To establish, administer and maintain Fundamental Human Rights, religious, harmony, educational, and other charitable institutions of any type in AJ&K generally.
- To acquire and possess by way of purchase, lease, gift, legacy, or otherwise and to hold all or any part of the movable or immovable properties of all descriptions now vested or hereafter to be vested.
- To maintain, deal with, and manage the movable or immovable properties of all descriptions of the said society.
- To alienate by way of sale, mortgage lease, exchange hiring out, gift or otherwise any or all the properties of the said Foundation.
- To erect schools, training centers, hostels, convents, orphanages, homes for the aged, hospitals, dispensaries, and any other type of building or construction whatsoever to further the purposes of the said Foundation and to maintain, alter, demolish, or reconstruct the same or any portions thereof.
- To manage or otherwise deal with funds (money) of the Foundation and to the society and to invest the funds not immediately required upon such securities or in such manner as from time to time may be determined by the governing body of the Foundation.
- To take or receive any gift, whether money or property both movable or immovable such as real estate, stocks, bonds, etc. whether by gift of the person living or by legacy, bequest and soon for any of the written appeals, public meetings, soliciting or otherwise for the securing of such contributions to the funds of the Foundation as may be deemed expedient.
- To enter into any arrangement with any government or non-governmental authority whether federal, provincial, state, municipal, local or otherwise that may seem to be conducive to the attainment of the objects of the Foundation or any of them and to obtain from any such government or authority such rights, concessions and privileges which the Foundation may think desirable and to obtain and carry out, exercise and comply with any such arrangements, rights, privileges and concessions.
- To develop a mechanism to assist and aware with basic equal opportunities to access health and develop an educated and healthy society in which women and children equal rights.
